Cambridge-Africa ALBORADA Research Grants 2023 For Sub-Saharan Africa is a funding opportunity designed to support collaborative research projects between institutions in Africa and the University of Cambridge. This grant aims to support foster partnerships, promote knowledge exchange, and enhance capacity building in various disciplines.
Eligibility
- Sub-Saharan African Countries (Including Sudan) are eligible to apply for the grant.
To be eligible for ALBORADA Research Grants 2023 applicants must:
- Applications must be submitted jointly by an applicant based in Cambridge and an applicant based in a university or research institution in sub-Saharan Africa.
- Both applicants must be at the post-doctoral level or above.
- The Cambridge applicant must be either working at the University of Cambridge or at a research Institute affiliated with the University.
- The African applicant must be from a sub-Saharan African research Institution or university.

Benefits
The ALBORADA Research Grants 2023 will provide funding up to :
- £20,000 for applications in the sciences (including equipment)
- £6,000 for applications in the social sciences and humanities
- £5,000 for a workshop/course in Africa
- £3,000 for a travel award
