Distinguished Dissertation Award 2023 aims to empower individuals by providing funding to offset educational expenses and enable them to fully dedicate themselves to their scholarly pursuits. With this grant, students are empowered to pursue their passions and make meaningful contributions to their respective fields. Therefore, students will gain the financial backing necessary to explore new avenues of research, engage in impactful projects, and further their intellectual development.
Eligibility
To be eligible for Distinguished Dissertation Award 2023 applicant must be:
- Applicants must be Working on Doctoral Dissertation. Postdoctoral Scholar.
- Doctoral degree awarded, or completion of all degree requirements, within the last two years.
- Individuals must be nominated for these awards by a member institution (UCLA).
- Completed dissertations representing original work should make an unusually significant contribution to the discipline. Abstract of the dissertation.
- Three letters of recommendation: one from the dissertation chair, one from another dissertation committee member, and one from someone of the applicant’s choosing.
- Evidence of completion of the doctoral degree within the stated time period.

- Amount: $2,000
- Stipend: $2,000 + reasonable travel expenses to the annual awards luncheon.
