Research Abroad Fellowship Program
The Fellowship Program provides opportunities for doctoral candidates to engage in full-time dissertation research abroad in modern foreign languages and area studies. The program is designed to contribute to the development and improvement of the study of less-commonly-taught modern foreign languages and area studies in the United States.
Eligibility
- Citizen or permanent resident of the United States
- Graduate student in good standing at an institution of higher education
- Planning a teaching career in the United States upon graduation
- Possesses adequate skills in the language necessary to carry out a dissertation project
