Undergraduate Student Travel Grants are designed to defray all or part of the costs for undergraduate students to present their work at academically-oriented events.  Applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis as long as funds remain.

Eligibility

  • Any ETSU undergraduate student is eligible
  • Students must be presenting, not just attending, the event
  • Priority will be given to students who have not previously received funding from our Office and/or who do not have existing research support
  • A student may receive only one award per academic year
  • A student may be awarded a maximum of two travel awards during their time at ETSU
  • Budget requests and reimbursement are subject to university travel policies

Penn State Global maintains a fund to support international travel through Global Graduate Student Travel Grants.  The main use of Global Graduate Student Travel Grants is to assist students in presenting their scholarly work at international conferences or other major professional meetings.  Graduate student travel grants are intended to promote Penn State’s global leadership in scholarship and international engagement.

Eligibility

Applicants must be currently registered Penn State graduate students in good academic standing at the time of application and at the time of travel.

The application form requires applicants to identify:

  • a concise summary of the paper/presentation;
  • a brief description of the conference and its significance in the applicant’s field
  • a short explanation of why it is important for the applicant to present their work at the selected conference
  • a succinct assessment of the connection between the student’s research to one or more of the evaluation criteria
  • a tentative travel itinerary, and
  • a tentative budget.

Awards are contingent upon the availability of funds and the number of applications received. Applicants are strongly encouraged to seek additional funding sources, including matching funds from their campus/college/department or external funding sources.

  • The international conference must take place outside the U.S.  Workshops, internships, and other activities are not eligible for funding.

Travel Grants For IAMCR 2023 is available to early-career scholars, who are members of IAMCR, reside in low and middle-income countries, and have papers accepted for presentation at our upcoming conference in Lyon.

The grants are intended to help offset the travel costs of IAMCR members who would otherwise be unable to attend the conference.

Applicants must have an abstract accepted for presentation on-site at the Lyon conference. Announcement of abstract acceptances will be made by March 21, 2023.

Applications will be received from the time decisions are announced until 28 March, through an online form. Further details will be provided later. Stay tuned!

Eligibility

  • To apply you must be an early-stage scholar without a tenured position at the moment of applying. You must have an abstract accepted for full presentation at the conference, currently reside* in a low or middle-income country (see the country income classification list), and have been a paid-up member of IAMCR for at least one full year – that is, be a current member and have been a member in 2022. Representatives and student representatives of an institution that has been a member for 1 year qualify even if they were only added in the current year.
  • Note that for co-authored papers, only the first author is eligible to apply for a grant unless he or she is unable to attend the conference.
  • The travel grant program seeks to promote diverse participation at IAMCR conferences. In addition to the individual criteria for eligibility, the selection process will promote diversity amongst the travel grant awardees in terms of gender, region, and country of residence, and will support the participation of people with varying levels of prior involvement and activity in IAMCR.
  • Scholars who have received more than one IAMCR travel grant in the past are not eligible.
  • *Your country of residence is the country where you currently live, even if your residence is temporary. If you are studying, researching, or teaching in a high-income country, you are considered a resident of that country and not eligible for a travel grant.

The Paul E. Henkin School Psychology Travel Grant provides support of up to $1,500 to defer the costs of registration, lodging, and travel for student members of APA Division 16 to attend the APA Annual Convention. Student Affiliates in School Psychology (SASP) is a student-led organization for doctoral and specialist students pursuing a career in school psychology. Individual student members as well as university chapters have access to the many benefits of SASP.

Grant monies may not be used for food, drink, or any materials that are not included in the registration fee.

Eligibility

To be eligible for Paul E. Henkin School Psychology Travel Grant applicants must:

  • To be eligible to apply for a grant, applicants must be current ASU graduate students (degree or non-degree seeking) enrolled in at least one graduate-level credit at the time of application and at the time of travel. Composed of nearly 100 scientists and over 200 students and postdoctoral fellows, the Quebec Reproductive Network (Réseau Québécois en Reproduction, RQR) (https://www.rqr.umontreal.ca/en/) is a scientific network based in the Canadian province of Quebec and dedicated to the study of reproduction in mammals. Although the RQR is non-political, it is in solidarity with the Iranian people and wishes to provide concrete assistance by offering Iranian citizens the opportunity to pursue their studies in Canada.

Eligibility

RQR Bursaries For Iranian Trainees Applicants must have completed, at a minimum, training equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to reproductive biology, or a doctorate in medicine or veterinary medicine;
• Be currently residing in Iran;
• Have a goal of starting the program of study in Winter, Summer, or Fall 2023;
• A good command of English or French is also required.

Scholarships will be awarded upon acceptance into the program of study by the University with which the RQR researcher is affiliated.



Benefits

  • To this end, five scholarships for CAD 10,000 each are available for qualified Iranian students to undertake a master’s, doctoral or post-doctoral program in an RQR laboratory. The scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Note that the principal investigator will be responsible for providing financial support after the first year and until the end of the training. As a reminder, salary support averages: (i) $18,000 to $20,000 for the master’s degree; (ii) $20,000 to $24,000 for the doctoral degree; (iii) and $30,000 to $45,000 for the postdoctoral degree, depending on the researcher and institutional salary ranges.

RQR will work with host universities as needed to assist awardees in obtaining required study permits and immigration/visa documents.
