VAJRA Faculty Scheme

Student Travel Grants

VAJRA Faculty Scheme has been conceptualized to bring an international dimension to the R&D ecosystem of India by leveraging overseas scientists’ expertise in the Indian research framework.

  • The scheme is open to overseas scientists/faculty/R&D professionals including Non-resident Indians (NRI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).
  • Should be an active researcher working with overseas academic / research / industrial organizations with a proven track record of research and development.

The Faculty will work for a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 3 months a year in an institution in India. They could play other related roles in scouting for potential technologies within the Institution, review, etc., and act as Mentors of start-ups housed at the Institution.
